Long drive ahead.
Up at 7:30am on a bank holiday - never good when it’s a day off. That said, we had a reason as we were going away for a long weekend.
So, up, breakfasts done and got ready.We were aiming to start driving at 9:30am, more like 10am when we got out.
The problem with bank holiday breaks is that many others are also doing it. So, traffic was bad and it took us just over 3 hours to travel the 90 miles. Still, the weather was bad...
Kids were good for the drive which was a bonus.
We arrived about 1:30pm, parked up and went and stretched our legs. Our room wasn’t available till 3 so we needed to stretch. As soon as the room was available though we took our stuff in and relaxed.
Plan was simple, dinner at about 5pm then over for entertainment. Little Mr was extremely well behaved with the change. He loved his dinner and even sat through most of the entertainment.
I did have to take home back around 8pm though as he needed some time to relax before bed. Amazingly, when he did go to bed around 9pm he nodded off... I did stay in the room with him though.
Now its time for an early bed too as tired from the day too...
